Thursday WOD
WOD:
5 x 30 seconds of work/15 seconds of rest:
Wall Balls 20/14
Rowing
push press 65/45
-Remain at the same exercise for all 5 intervals. Match reps/meters each set. If reps or meters are not matched, you will run 200m for all rounds unmatched. So if you miss 1 round of wall balls, 2 rounds of rowing and 3 rounds for push press, you must run 1200m. So always match or better your reps/meters and you will be fine. Running will be done at the end of all 3 exercises.
If we have time and the energy. . .
Skills:
“Death by Pushups”
Perform 2 pushups the first minute, 4 pushups the second minute, 6 pushups the 3rd minute. Continue on until you cannot perform the prescribed amount of pushups within the particular minute.

Do you have to match/beat the first set of reps each time or do you have to match/beat each set as you go? For example, if you get 10 the first set, 11 the second and 13 the third set, does the fourth set have to be at least 10 or 13?

You have to meet your first set. . . but you have to keep in mind that your score is the lowest number you get each round added together. So if you get a 15 on the first 4 rounds of wall ball and a 10 on the last round you score for that round will be 10 and you will have one 200m run. So there is some gaming in this wod, you don’t want to short change it but you want to get the highest number you can do and sustain for 5 rounds!!

Oh, and on the meters for the row, I give a 10m grace. So as long as you get within 10meters of your first score you are good!

Thanks Laurie. I didn’t want Derek making me run any more than I had to.

The truth is, I was thinking HOW SMART I was to under deliver my reps so that I didn’t EVAH have to run. And hey, I never had to! But, err….being beaten by 2 points? ARRGGGHHHH!!!!!! I shoulda, woulda, definitely coulda pushed just a teensy bit harder!!!
And Amy…….sooooo sorry about the runs you did, girl! Wow!

And Dawn, we try to tell you, overachiever……this isn’t about getting fit, it’s about beating people at the game! You rocked it when you went over each time! Even though I was thinking “Umm….I didn’t quite give you the right message about trying hard, but not too hard……!”
